Tour Plan

Day 01: City Tour & Surrounding Ruins (Private Tour - 4 hours)

At 09:00 hrs, your exploration of Cusco's rich history begins with a pick-up from your hotel for a City Tour, immersing you in the blend of Inca and Spanish Colonial monuments. Your first stop is the Main Square, known as Huacaypata or the Warrior's Square in Inca times, where pivotal events in Cusco's history unfolded. Next, marvel at the Cathedral, built upon the ancient temple of Suntur Wasi, showcasing remarkable choir cloisters, a pulpit, and intricate engravings.

Continuing, visit the Church and Convent of Santo Domingo, a Spanish structure erected atop the foundations of the Inca temple of Koricancha, or Temple of the Sun. Delve into the history of Koricancha, the principal Inca religious site adorned with gold-plated walls and expertly carved stone blocks.

Your journey then takes you to Tambomachay, revered as the Inca baths dedicated to water worship. Kenko is believed to be a sacred worship site with intricate stone engravings depicting animals. Lastly, explore Puca Pucará, an administrative and military centre boasting terraces, turrets, and vaulted niches.

After this enriching tour, return to your hotel to prepare for your onward journey. At 15:15 hrs, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Lima, connecting you to your international departure.
