Day 01: ARRIVING IN LIMA

Upon landing in Lima, a tour guide will warmly greet you at the airport on the initial day of your Peruvian adventure. You will then be transferred to your chosen hotel. After check-in, then you will be transfer to the selected hotel. After check-in, we will provide a brief orientation and present you with your "Travel Kit" containing all your essential travel documents.

Day 02: LIMA – CITY & GASTRONOMIC TOUR

Lima in a Day: Cultural Treasures and Culinary Delights

Your exploration of Lima starts at 9:00 a.m. as you're picked up from your hotel for a full day of discovering the city's charm and culinary delights. The adventure begins at a local market where you'll dive into the diversity of Peru's fruits and vegetables from the Coast, Andes, and Amazon.

Next, wander through the Barranco Art Deco district, Lima's vibrant and artistic neighbourhood, often compared to SoHo. Explore its colourful streets, art, bars, coffee shops, and the renowned "Central Restaurant" by Virgilio Martinez.

Your journey continues at "El Cacaotal," where you'll join a chocolate-tasting class and enjoy a cup of organic Peruvian coffee. Then, visit the historic Pedro de Osma Museum, a century-old French-style mansion adorned with art nouveau stained glass, metal ceilings, and crystal chandeliers, surrounded by beautiful gardens.

Indulge in a contemporary seafood lunch at a seaside restaurant, experiencing the renowned Peruvian "ceviche." Later, enjoy a bar experience where you'll learn to make the iconic "Pisco Sour."

Your cultural immersion continues at Miraflores' 'Love Park' with its stunning Pacific Ocean views and San Isidro's "Olives Park." Explore the pre-Columbian Huaca Pucllana, a significant adobe and clay pyramid.

In the afternoon, delve into Lima's colonial heart, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit South America's largest Chinatown and the Main Square with its grand architecture. Day 03: LIMA – CUSCO

Enjoy a leisurely morning exploring the vibrant Barranco district at your own pace. At 2:30 p.m., as previously arranged, you'll be transferred to the airport for your flight to Cusco.

Upon your arrival in the Imperial City, a tour guide will greet you at Cusco airport and facilitate your transfer to the hotel. Use the rest of the afternoon to either acclimatize to the altitude or to start discovering the local surroundings.

In the evening, prepare for a memorable dining experience at Mauka Restaurant. Under the guidance of the renowned Peruvian Chef Pía León, Mauka offers a culinary journey that combines innovative gastronomy with the local flavors of the region. Relish the unique and fresh ingredients that highlight Peru's diverse palate.

Day 04: CUSCO – SACRED VALLEY- PISAC RUINS – MARKET & OLLANTAYTAMBO

Begin your journey into the heart of the Sacred Valley at 9:00 a.m. as you're picked up from your hotel. The tour starts with a scenic stop to capture photos and admire the iconic Pucara Bulls atop Andean houses. Next, you'll arrive at the archaeological complex of Pisac, where a hike around the site reveals the impressive Andean terraces ingeniously crafted to enhance agricultural space.

The exploration continues at the Pisac artisan market, a vibrant and colourful hub where local traders and communities showcase their traditional attire, craftsmanship, and local produce.

Enjoy a delightful lunch at a local restaurant and visit Ollantaytambo village, an extraordinary Inca city known for its archaeological and cultural significance and preservation of Inca customs.

Explore the Ollantaytambo Sanctuary, a significant site featuring religious, astronomical, administrative, and agricultural structures. Highlights include the Temple of the Sun and the Royal Hall of Incahuatana. Discover this ancient Inca administrative centre, historically serving as a gateway to the Amazonian part of the empire.

After returning to your hotel in the Sacred Valley, prepare for a 6:00 p.m. briefing on your upcoming Rainbow Mountain excursion.

Day 05: CUSCO – RAINBOW MOUNTAIN

Dawn to Dusk: A Journey from Cusco to the Rainbow Mountain Summit

Embark on an early morning adventure at 05:00 hrs as we pick you up from your Cusco hotel for a journey through Qollasuyo, the southern part of the ancient Quechua land, integral to the Tawantinsuyo (the Inca Empire). The initial drive, taking about 1 hour and 30 minutes, sets the stage for a day of discovery.

Our first stop is the District of Cusipata, where we'll pause for a refreshing 30-minute breakfast. The journey then resumes for another hour to Fulawasipata, the starting point of our trek. Here, you'll receive a briefing before we begin our ascent at the foothills of the majestic Ausangate mountain range. The hike up to Rainbow Mountain takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes, offering a chance to encounter various South American camelids along the way.

Reaching the peak of Rainbow Mountain, you'll be greeted with a stunning display of natural colours and breathtaking views, a perfect backdrop for memorable photos.

The descent, lasting about an hour, brings us back to Fulawasipata. Our driver will be ready to take us back to the District of Cusipata for a well-deserved lunch lasting about an hour. Post-lunch, you'll embark on a 4-hour and 40-minute drive back to Cusco and the Sacred Valley. Anticipate arrival at your Sacred Valley hotel around 18:00 hrs, perhaps a bit tired but undoubtedly filled with unforgettable memories from an extraordinary day. Conclude your evening with a restful overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 06: SACRED VALLEY – SALT MINES OF MARAS & MORAY TERRACES

Your excursion begins with a pickup from your hotel for a visit to the Salineras de Maras, an ancient salt mine predating the Inca era. Witness the traditional salt extraction method, where salty water from underground evaporates in thousands of wells, leaving crystalline salt ready for harvest.

Next, indulge in a unique culinary experience at Mil restaurant, one of the ventures of world-renowned chef Virgilio Martínez. Here, embark on a gastronomic adventure through 8 different ecosystems reflected in the dishes, all inspired by the surroundings of Mil.

After your descent, return to the hotel for a leisurely afternoon tea at the Sanctuary Lodge. At a pre-arranged time, take a bus back to the station to access the VIP Lounge.

Conclude your day with the luxurious Hiram Bingham train journey back to Cusco, departing at 17:50 hrs. Relax during the 1 hour and 35 minutes trip to Ollantaytambo station before being transferred to your hotel in Cusco for an overnight stay.
